When Netscape Went Public

The World Wide Web: organizing pages, information, and documents in order to be easily browsed. In 1991, the first web site went public. Until Netscape went public, however, web sites and the internet was seen as an entire different retrospect. Typically, internet and e-mail based actions in a company were interrupted and unsuccessful. This is because partner companies occasionally used entire different internet systems altogether, therefore not being able to transfer information. When Netscape went public, it opened completely new opportunities, for both businesses and personal use, and made the internet truly interactive.
